Road Signs

¿Qué tal se te da indicar una dirección en inglés? ¿Y las señales de tráfico? ¿Sabes lo que significan?

Vamos a hacer un pequeño test para ver tus conocimientos:
- ¿Qué indican las señales triangulares?
- ¿Qué indican las señales circulares? ¿Tiene algo que ver su color?
- ¿Qué indican las señales rectangulares?

Si sólo has sabido contestar bien a una de estas preguntas te hace falta un pequeño repaso.

Ahora piensa en  los riesgos que suponen ciertas cosas a la hora de conducir: la bebida, los móviles, los navegadores que te ayudan a llegar a un lugar...

-ed & -ing Adjectives

Hay algunos adjetivos en inglés que derivan directamente de los verbos y que pueden presentar distintas terminaciones (-ed o -ing).

Los adjetivos que terminan en -ing generalmente describen el efecto que algo produce:
Ej: The TV programme was boring.

Los adjetivos que terminan en -ed normalmente describen cómo algo nos hace sentir:
Ej: I was completely bored.

Question Words

¿Cómo? ¿Qué?

Pues sí, precisamente éstos son question words o pronombres interrogativos. Eso es lo que vamos a repasar hoy. 

Algunas otras que no aparecen aquí son:

How often? -> ¿Con qué frecuencia?

How much? -> ¿Cuánto/a? (para preguntar por la cantidad, ojo, que debe ser algo incontable!)

How many? -> ¿Cuántos/as? (para preguntar por el número, contable
Which? -> ¿Qué? ¿Cuál? ¿Cuáles?

Si te has fijado, añadirmos la terminación -th al número cardinal. 

Algunas excepciones son:

• one - first
• two - second
• three - third
• five - fifth
• eight - eighth
• nine - ninth
• twelve - twelfth

Cuando expresamos los números en cifras, añadimos las dos últimas letras del número ordinal al número ordinal, es decir:

• first = 1st
• second = 2nd
• third = 3rd
• fourth = 4th
• twenty-sixth = 26th
• hundred and first = 101st

Para repasar vocabulario esencial sobre el mobiliario o cosas que puedas necesitar en clase te ofrecemos dos actividades.
